About Graham Baker

Graham Baker Photography, Welling, Bexley, KentThe Ethos of Graham Baker Photography

I'm a photographer and image maker; I approach my work with the ethos that photography is more than just pointing and shooting. Photography is an art and I strives to make my art the best it can be.

Photography is about understanding light, composition, colour, design and style; it's about understanding equipment and their capabilities to create or extend what we see; photography is about applying all of these elements to levitate a 'snap' to something more special; ultimately it's about creating something emotive and personal whatever that may be…

I’m Professional Photographer based in Welling, which is in the London borough of Bexley and I cover many different aspects of photography; including, weddings, portraits, commercial, events, and other photographic projects.

Some people may argue that I’m a ‘Jack of all trades and an expert in none’ because I do cover a wider range commissioned work; however, I believe my trade is ‘photography’ and the skills that I employ from one type of work to another compliment each other; that’s what I’m an expert in.

To maintain client confidence, I am a qualified Licentiate member of the SWPPSociety of Wedding & Portrait Photographers, a qualified member of the Guild of Photographers in both general and wedding photography categories; and I’m also a member of the WPPI  - Wedding & Portrait Photographers International. This confirms  my work as being of professional standard; and demonstrates my ability to create images of excellence.

A Licentiate qualification is awarded to photographers who have submitted a panel of photographs of a chosen speciality, which are then judged by highly qualified, respected and experienced photographers from the photographic industry. For my commercial work I also belong to the  SICIPSociety of International Commercial + Industrial Photographers.

The Societies and Guild stipulate working  to high professional standards and codes of conduct, that are put into place for the promotion of good working practice in all matters concerning the photography industry.

I also hold full Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance.

I can cover commissions all over the United Kingdom (UK) and overseas, but generally my work is concentrated around the  South East London boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich and Lewisham; as well as further afield across Greater London, Kent and the South East of England.

Please take time to visit my web gallery, client galleries, or have a look at my News Page for the latest updates.

If you have any questions about my work or would like to discuss commissioning me, then please use the contact page to access my email and telephone details.

Why not have a look at what other people say about me on my testimonials page and see for yourself!

Many thanks Graham Baker LSWPP QGPP QGWP
