Despite driving through some terrible rain on the way to the venue, the closer I got the clearer the weather became and by the time I arrived it was completely dry; and that meant that the wedding could take place outside at the venue’s Gazebo!
There was a much laid back feeling to the whole day; and I especially loved that we had incorporated plenty of time into the itinerary for photographs; not only for the traditional group photos and some fun family photographs, but lots of time for some stunning couple portraits.
I particularly enjoy those moments, where my couples are just enjoying each other’s company away from the rest of their guests and almost forget that I’m there; they just seem to always result in the most intimate natural looking photographs of the day!
After the photographs and some really heart-warming and emotional speeches, I left everyone to enjoy their wedding breakfast with the intention of grabbing a sunset shot later in the evening. It was at that point though that the rain came… not just a light shower though; we are talking torrential downpour!
Rather than be upset by this; I quickly took advantage of these new conditions and broke out the umbrellas for some fun photographs in the rain too!!
Please enjoy this small selection of photographs from the day!
