What a beautiful, brilliant spring day, filled with blue skies and wispy clouds for Catherine and Des’s Chorleywood wedding!
When I first met Catherine and Des for their consultation, I just knew that this would be a relaxed and happy day. Initially they were only looking for only a short coverage, but when they told me that the church would be lit up with changing multi-coloured lights at night; I just had to stay late to capture it!
I’m so glad that I did stay too; their day was much less formal than many other traditional Church weddings, with afternoon tea being served at the reception, (arranged by the excellent Amanda Clements) great music and entertainment (from Dan Rosen) and speeches from both the bride & groom together!
Not only that, everyone was treated to a solo serenade from Des to his wife, followed by a duet with his son for all the guests! A truly special evening!
As usual I had a great time; feeling that I was as much a part of the wedding as one of their guests, with everyone making me feel warm and welcome. I am, as always, so privileged to do this job!
